Manual to Auto conversion engine mounts

I have been through most of the threads on a manual to conversion swap and I do understand the need for a new crossmember for the new auto tranny. But the rear of the motor mounted to that crossmember through the old manual tranny bell housing, how does the rear of motor mount now if its removed? 2 mounts in the front, then one in the rear on the new tranny crossmember? So now only 3 mounts?

Yup!
Side mounted motor, rear mounted tranny. Totally normal.
The old way was a carryover from when the motor was front mounted and the tranny/motor side mounted. Tranny hung off the bell housing.

Where’s the sturgeon county?
Would it be near ukaboo?

That doesn't seem like very much holding my motor in, 3 bolts?

Sturgeon County, Alberta, Canada.

It’s known as the home of the Oilers, Edmonton.
I lived and grew up and travelled all over Alberta for 55 years before retiring to the coast.

Gravity does the majority of it, the bolts keep it from jumping around

Re: Manual to Auto conversion engine mounts

Is it possible to re-use the manual tranny crossmember that needs to be removed for the new auto tranny crossmember?
