Old Auto paint preserver
http://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-pat...r-aerosol.html
Anyone try this stuff Or does anyone know the name of the commercial stuff you apply to old original paint to preserve it. After application and dry there is a light film you have to wipe off

Re: Old Auto paint preserver
As a coatings expert by trade, you're playing with fire.
All coatings need what's known as "mechanical tooth" which in plain English means "sanded" otherwise it won't stick. Also, any coating in an aerosol is NOT UV stable or "invisible to the eye" Patina took 30 plus years to get there... where do you suppose it's going?
