Re: suspension and brakes

As mentioned before, I am very interested in the weight of these items compared to what I have for stock. If you wouldn't mind weighing them, I would be indebted to you

If you also have a couple extra minutes to toss the stock stuff on to verify the weights I have come up with over the years, I would really appreciate that as well. Fot the UCA and LCA I have weights with out cross shafts, so with them would be even better.

I am trying to gather this data to help put together another thread for everyone on weight savings ideas, and listing what things actually weigh to help them gain a better idea of what their trucks will weigh. I also want to use the weights to update my weight sheet spreadsheet again to help other with front spring selection. I want to see more of these old farmtrucks going fast!!

Spindle 27lbs
Upper Control Arm 5lbs (with out cross shaft)
Lower Control Arm 22lbs (with out cross shaft)
Caliper 9lbs
Pads 1lb
Rotor 26lbs
Spring 15lbs
Shock 10lbs

Thanks in advance.

Re: suspension and brakes

I must say,, that looks VERY nice. I 'need' to do something with my front end,, just can't decide how much street time it will ever see again. If you don't mind... do you have a total $ for all of the suspension from frame out?

Yep, that looks very nice!! The truck has a nice stance with those parts in place. BTW, what's the story on your Camaro? Looks nice in the pics on the other thread.

Re: suspension and brakes

Nice! I was going to ask if it was still ls-powered, but I see now! Between your truck and the Camaro, you've got enough nitrous to sponsor your own pro-mod event!! lol

Re: suspension and brakes

I am in thought about a F3 for both of them and switch to pump gas when its time to freshen the motors but I will have to stick with the Nos for now.
