Re: 4X4 Action Pix
I was trying to climb this big hill in a deep rut when I decided to try it "one more time". Only because I had an audience. Low and behold I got stuck about 180 feet up. The back end dropped into a big hole, the left rear quarter panel slammed the frozen hill side, the rear diff high centered on the frozen ground (hate that) and the right front tire stuck way up in the air (love that). Fortunately, the "audience" helped pull me out. Good thing I carry about 200 feet of rope and chain. I think a new spring project is going to be fabricating a new rear bumper and some kinda bolt-on guard to help protect the rear quarters...and of course new front D60, locker, and crossover steering.

Re: 4X4 Action Pix
Thanks, most these pix dont do justice to the size and and scope of some of these hills. But I think the shot with the towrope looks cool.

Re: 4X4 Action Pix
Sadly, I've decided to "put away" the Blazer for a while. Its just too cold to work on it and I get tired of wheeling on the frozen ground. I suppose I could take her out if any locals planned something fun to do (hint, hint). So here she sits, behind the garage next to one of my lowrider Chevelle wagons (the beater). I've always got a kick out of seeing them next to each other. Total opposite ends of the height spectrum.

Re: 4X4 Action Pix
I'd be very interested to see progress pix on the rear quarter protection, tube doors, seats....HELL I'd love to see it all! I think Im gonna concentrate on getting the "show" Chevelle wagon going this year. Its a twin to the beater car in the pix. But, new 2 tone paint, new 283/700r4. Just gotta put her together.
