Re: Looking for info/owners of special edition trucks

I posted this when where talking about black gold trucks but in eastern ky you could buy a black gold edition had a factory roll bar was black with gold trim and had gold rims. apparently it was different from the black gold texas trucks. they where oil field related and the ones in ky where coal related. also there was some package in 80 that a real cheap truck but came with the finned wheels and in stepside. my uncle had one of those. they both may be dealer done deals.

Re: Looking for info/owners of special edition trucks

Older thread, but..
Union jack
75 gmc sierra classic. Seems to be no info what so ever on this truck. Very similar to the one above of Chadleas, but with the Union Jack logo on the quarters.
And whythe heck would a british? Logo be on an American made truck?
Folks had this from 78 till 2012. Whats left resides in the local wrecking yard.
Spirit of 76, beau james, etc, all have some history. This one, zilch....

Re: Looking for info/owners of special edition trucks

Anybody know anything about Blazer Chalets? There's one for sale but it says it's a 1980. Anything I've found says they were made in 76-77.

And it's gone......

I had my eye on this too, but I'm stuck out at work, and unable to go look at it. I resisted the temptation to call the guy, as I don't have any more room for vehicles.

The camper itself looks slightly different than the ones on the 76-77 trucks. I imagine you could buy a camper from Chinook, or have one custom made, for a few years after GM stoped selling them as a factory package. That's my guess to the origins of this truck.

How about a football truck? Big green machine was offered in Saskatchewan in honor of the Roughriders..who won the Grey Cup iirc. Cant remember year, 75? 76? As a teen I thought they were tacky, now its pretty cool and I wish I had one. This pic was from random google search.
