Re: 53 BURBAN barn find

Here are a few pics from last night.we worked from 7:00 till 1:00 in the morning.we got the rolling chassie all mocked up. Only a few minor details to deal with. we made the step notches longer to fit the frame better. should be bringing it back this week.scored some steel 15x5 black smoothies at a local swap meet for $60 bucks. Going to get some tires put on this week for fitment. sorry about the bad pics.

Re: 53 BURBAN barn find

we (Scott's) are a dealer for US radiator. I'm sure Justin will give you a smoking deal on one.

Give me an idea of what you are looking for (aluminum, steel, 2-4 core?) and I'll be sure to get you a quote.

Re: 53 BURBAN barn find

A standard 4 core brass radiator retail is $430. The all aluminum 2 core is $370

I'm sure Justin will do 10% so the brass 4 core would run $387, the aluminum 2 core would run $333.

Give us a call!

Re: 53 BURBAN barn find

In the photo of the rear wheel opening, is that a patch you had to do up at the top? I see a faint outline of what looks like a patch panel. Reason I ask is I have one in the almost the exact spot on the same side. Was kind of wondering if that is common problem on these beasts.

Re: 53 BURBAN barn find

Because they have sliding side windows this is a very common spot for rust.if you look under the window you will see drain tubes that allow the water to go down.i will be using one piece windows to solve this problem.we made the patch panel by using small pieces.
