M2 Chevy C/40-60

I posted this on the 'heavy haulers' forum a few weeks ago, in case anyone here didn't see it:

http://m2machines.blogspot.com/2017/...y-from-m2.html

I am hearing there will be several versions of this truck, not just the custom pickup version pictured. GMC's too!

Re: M2 Chevy C/40-60

Great! And glad to hear they'll be doing some real trucks, not just silly oversized wastes of a pickup. Don't get me wrong, that idea occurred to me too, about 30-40 years ago. Then I figured what good would it be?

Re: M2 Chevy C/40-60

I've got these C60s. I swapped out the original cab attached to the Trailer. The original cab was green; almost the same color as the Trailer. I bought two of the orange/white Trucks.

Re: M2 Chevy C/40-60

I hink the only version I like is the fifth wheel tractor since it's that WB they used. I'm not into big little pickups and WB is too short for truck bodies like that stake bed. I first saw one on Ebay and thought it was a poor custom job. Almost bought it, but no real truck would be built that way, plus side racks are out of proportion. The green cab w/white top is striking...very nice looking. A wrecker body would work well with that WB. I hope they do one

Thanks! I'll see if I can find one or two. What I really want is that green stake body with white top. I don't see these in stores around here

If you find one I'll buy it. I don't expect you to make any special trips. But just letting you know you wouldn't be stuck with it.

Ok, thanks. If you find a green stake body I'd like one of those... either/or both. I'll take care of you on it. My grandson's birthday party is tomorrow and one would have been perfect...although brand is not a concern of his at this point.

I was going to ask what scale they were, but judging from the pic in the hand, I'd say it's 1/32. I'm modeling a railroad in 1/22.5, and looking for metal vehicles in 1/20 to 1/24 scale.

M2 is going to do a C-60 tandem axle later this year. No word on what bodies will be offered.

I like that wrecker a bunch! The tandem I'd rip the box open and pull that bed right off. Or, I'll just wait till they come out with a tractor version or some sort of truck body. I bet they do a roll back. I'd like to stretch a single rear and build a Hodges-style body on one

Agreed,

The tandem looks quirky. A rollback would be slick. They need to make a C-30 wrecker and suburbans.
