And after lowering it with 3" spindles and 1 coil cut off in the front, and 4" shackle/hanger drop in the rear:

Thanks rickywideglide,
So far static drop only. Belltech all around. In the front I also had to go to a smaller tire 'cause it would rub the fenders pretty bad (from 235/85 16 to 225/75 16) still rubs a little, but not too often. I should probably get heavy duty 1" drop springs for the front...
The rear didn't really drop that much (no C-notch - at least not yet...), those crazy thick spring packs won't allow. My spring packs are 10+1, and I believe they are usually 8+1? (Rough ride!)
I would like to maybe get some air bags in the back... Just didn't want to lose the 1 ton capability. I have also been looking at the possibility of a 4 link suspension kit for the rear - but they seem to come a bit high on the prices...
Oh, also. I kept the old shocks all around. Seemed to work fine...

Sweet! I have an 88' V30 CC with a 454 and just finished swapping in a NV4500 a month ago. I'm loving it

I'd love to find an 87 or 88 single cab dually 4x4. My CC is sweet but I have a soft spot for single cab squares

Some of you have probably already seen my truck, but I used to look at this set of pages for inspiration while building mine. Still have a long way to go, but so far so good I think.

1987 M1028A2 found up in the high desert. Added the lift and tires with a fresh coat of paint. Fixed the trans and it gets daily driven.

Much thanks, just got the suspension and tires on. Toyed with going SRW and had a set of wheels/ tires on it, but I just couldn't bear to cut the original fenders for clearance and decided to leave it as my old K30 was, as a dually.

Next on list are a full exhaust replacement and a big winch.
