Electric problems...
The Ramp Rat has many problems and the electrical ones are some of the hardest to trace down. After 40-50 years of others working and tieing in stuff to get what they want.
I had park lights, headlights, turn signals, brake lights but no dash lights. Checked fuses in fuse box nothing blown. Took dash out 3 times to look at the wiring the 3 time I found the problem. The connector where the harness plugs into was burnt and was shorting not letting the power through. When I took it out I tested it with some 12 volt batteries it worked every time but I had alligator clips so it wasn't touching anything. I guess it was just enough contact when in the truck it wouldn't produce. Luckily I had another printed circuit for the cluster. Oh well 3 hrs and I have all the dash lights now.

It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. Last edited by Andy4639; 01-14-2017 at 01:05 PM. |
