Recently I swapped a corvette steering column in my 1969 gmc 1500 that the previous owner had installed for an original one. I rewired the column connector like the original. My dome stopped working and then now my light in my cluster are no coming on. My bright light indicator comes in and my brake light comes on when I start it. The gauges are working properly but there isn’t any light. I checked the fuses and they are all good. Any ideas. I also just swapped my brake light lenses and now they will not come on. The only light I have at night are my headlights. Could it just be a bad light switch?

Sure sounds like a blown fuse. The brake lights & dome light are on the same circuit.
The rest I don't know off hand. You need a test light & wireing circuit.

If you pulled the dash/guage bezel out I bet the ground wire isn't connected... It clips onto the metal dash If I recall.

All your problems started when you swapped out the column. All the lights go through the column wiring harness. That's where I would start look. The wiring diagrams are at the top of the page and are a must to have and use for this type of stuff.

Take a good look at your main dash harnes connection also. You may have not gotten it plugged in good.
I found this on my daughters 68 dash yesterday when taking it a part.
This was the main connection and the grey wire was the main feed wire for all the lights. I had to cut it and splice it. Not to mention all the paint on the terminals!

Thanks for the links. I’ll take a look. I found a blown fuses and now I have turn signals and hazards but no running lights as well.

If your 69 is like my 68 Impala was, the dash lights are on the same circuit as the park/running lights. And it is a different circuit/fuse from the brake/turn lights.

It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811.
