Raingear Wipers

I was looking around for a new wiper set and stumbled in the site below. They make some trick wiper kits for most cars but I didn't see anything for 67-72 truck/blazer. I went ahead and called and the owner answered. He said they are moving to market with a kit but it was about 6 months out. He said it would be compact under the cowl and eliminate the motor from under the dash. He said they have a working unit and are getting ready to manufacture the kit. he also said it should be similar to the price of the Camaro kit.

Re: Raingear Wipers

I guess if your system is shot or you are building from scratch it's a good alternative. Otherwise I don't know why I would want to spend all that to replace a perfectly fine working system. I have never had an issue with the wiper system in any of the countless 67-72s I've owned, other than the washer. But never had to replace one twice and the first one lasted for decades. We don't know how long this system will last yet.

Re: Raingear Wipers

That is true. I’m thinking more so to eliminate the motor from under the dash. I may put my ECU for my ls3 in that spot. It’s definitely a little pricey but some of the motor upgrades aren’t much cheaper.

Thumbs up Re: Raingear Wipers

My 71 has it's 2nd wiper motor in it after only 37 years of me owning it. I have no reason to replace it. They work great and are easy to operate. They are even better than new ones if you add the delay feature to them form memeber 'twouvakind' it works great.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Raingear Wipers

I can see their place in a build from pieces or for custom applications, such as yours. It's always good to have alternatives.

Re: Raingear Wipers

I’ll probably buy a set. I have upgraded pretty much everything so why not.
