GMC white wheels/rims with white hubcaps
Need help from Forum members.
Restoring my GMC Jimmy 4wd back to the original colors of light green olive with white top. Previous owner purchased at restored 15 inch 6 bolt rims to white. I think I like the look of white GMC hubcaps(probably the white with orange/red GMC letters, not the white ones with black). For the open 4wd hubcaps I would probably have to used closed ones and cut out the centers. Was white wheels with white hubcaps a factory color, or option? Do some members have some trucks with white wheels and white hubcaps that they could post pictures of for me to see? Obviously olive green with a white top would be great, and/or 4wd. But will be happy with all truck colors. Thanks All, Terry |

I have what originally was a medium Olive with white top GMC. Had the wheels powder coated white and found some white caps to match. Will post a follow up photo of caps.

Don't have a picture anymore but my 71 gmc with came with white wheels and hub caps. I think white were standerd and chrome was an option for the caps.

I believe all 4x4 caps were stainless or chrome over brass. I dont think painted caps were available. It doesn't mean you can't make some if that's the look you want.

Member PICKMUP has converted 2WD caps into 4WD open caps successfully, but I think most were of the stainless variety. Might check with him.

I remember when I first got into these trucks my thoughts on white caps with white wheels was, who the heck would do that?
But all it takes is a few pics and you realize that is just as nice a look as the stainless/chrome caps. The accent coloring on the white caps really pulls the whole look together.
