A/C Question

I am thinking about buying a 77 k10 that the owner says only has heat and no A/C. What is the easiest way to add A/C to a truck with only a heater? Would an aftermarket kit be the best bet or do I not need all the parts a kit would provide.

Re: A/C Question

I would suggest a kit (Vintage Air, or similar.)

You might save money grabbing all the bits from an AC truck, but if it doesn't work right it could end up costing more (and would definitely be a bigger pita)

Re: A/C Question

Another option if you don't want to replace the existing heater with a full heat/AC system is to use an under dash a/c system.
