Another Hidden Hitch Question
The shop restoring my 72 fleetside truck has just installed my hidden hitch and it looks great ,well you cant see it is what makes it great .They asked me how I wanted to mount the flip up tag holder ,whether I wanted it to flip up or flip down for the hitch to slide in .Does it really matter one way or the other ,or work better one way or the other ?

If it was me I would have it filp down, hinge on the bottom. That way it would be easier to see, you wont have to bend over as far to see to install the hitch. just my 2cents.

I have mine flip up because if I need to leave my hitch on, I can still flip the plate down on the hitch enough to see my plate from behind so California
Cops can't pull me over for not seeing my plate. Either way is fine I guess.

Be sure if it flips up that it wont interfere with the trailer moving around on the ball...just have to make sure the slide in is long enough.

Mine flips up, never had any problems.seems like if it flips down it would be easier to damage it.
