Re: project lownslw64

Thanks that's real helpful. I need to run some 1/2" ss fuel lines, and yours look professional. A buddy at work recommended compression fittings like yours, (industrial) very high psi rating. Thanks again, I'll start looking for that bender.

Re: project lownslw64

Did you spray on the Por-15 or brush it on. I have never used it but was thinking of using it on my frame after I sandblast it.

Re: project lownslw64

i brushed it on, it works really well after you blast it. I did two coats on mine. the only problem i ran into is you need to apply it at a certain time. i think it is when it is slightly tacky when you drag your finger on it after the first coat. i didnt realize that and i did it after it dried and it turned out still good but could have been alittle better. hopes this helps.

Re: project lownslw64

thanks rich, everything has been good slow progress. how bout yourself? didn't know if your were still around or not. glad to see u back. any progress on yours? saw you got a stock a/c system, thats cool. I've done a couple things recently. bend and installed a 3/8 ss fuel line to a filter regulator on the frame for the feed to the fuel rail and got some ss flex lines and fitting for the rear bags. hopefully soon going to get my fuel cell modified for an intank pump and start working on the cab fixing all the floorboards, rockers etc.....

Re: project lownslw64

I know it has been a while but do you have any updates for us on this build? Great looking project! I am knee deep into an LS1/T56 swap on my 67 camaro. Maybe one day I will tear into the truck for a drop member and LS1 swap on that one as well, lol.

Re: project lownslw64

Unfortunately this project is up for sale now, minus engine and tranny, on CL. I was really looking forward to seeing this build go forward.

Re: project lownslw64

Outstanding! How about an update?
A bit of a technical side note/question; does your rack 'float' on the bushings or is it snug? I've seen instructions from Heidts that say float but I have a problem with that.
Great work on the chassis!
