Ok so I know I probably missed it but what's the advantage (if any) of relocating the shocks? I mean it looks cool but do they function better? Also would a monromatic stock replacement work with this as if I do end up doing this I don't want to replace the shocks I just bought. And is it only for lowered trucks or does it work on stock ride height vehicles

As you lower the OE truck, the shock length drops drastically. There are two remedies for this, low profile upper mounts and shorter shock. BUT, these are really just Band-Aids for the design shortfall. GM designed this to be a workhorse, to carry heavy loads on gravel roads. Not to be a good handling smooth riding cruiser (that was the Impala's job). So, any band-aid to 'fix' the workhorse design is a short-answer fix.
Re-designing the way the shocks mount and react, and allows for a longer shock even with a lowered truck. Mounting behind the axle (on a T.A. suspension) increases the wheel rate of shock, and therefore quickens the shocks reaction time to the suspension. Having the shocks wider apart helps to stabilize the axle motion as well as the roll rate of the truck.
Yes, you can use this with a stock height truck. And, yes, we have the correct part #'s for the monroe-matic shocks based on ride height of the truck.

We have had a few customers do this, no one has reported any fit issues.

With the gas tank being relocated as below, I would think the tank would need to be dropped to access the upper shock mount. This is not my truck, but one I had saved. I don’t think the tank would interfere with the brackets however. As you can see you still have access to swap shocks easily if the need should arise. The bracket would be more difficult to remove with the tank in the way.

These will not work with PB trailing arms though. I have called and even asked if they would custom make me a set that would and was told no!

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I think I'll be doing this mod when I swap out my rear diff with a rebuilt posi unit, hopefully in the next few months. My fuel tank has been relocated, and I can't get a wrench or socket between the tank and the frame rail. I also don't want to drop the tank as getting the fuel filler hose onto the tank was a real chore. To gain access for the brackets, I may drill a couple of holes on the lower frame rail flange beneath the bracket location, and connect the holes with a cutoff wheel to make some slots for wrench access.

I wonder if this would improve the ride quality. My 68 Chevy C10 is lowered 6 inches in the rear.
