Plan on doing a little work today...iv been working longer hours and havent really had extra time lately...I am needing to drive this truck Soo bad!!

So I did a little..I took my air tank sanded it and cleaned it up and painted it black. I also discovered I need all new cab mounts and bolts along with bed bolts...I also need to get the trans crossmember...moose..where did u order yours from? I need to get fuel pump filter, fuel lines and trans lines. I'm also working on the bed...I took some pics.

Got this thing in my garage now. I can start re-wiring the switches. Mount the airtank on the frame on the pass side and install the compressors on the rear. Then re-do the hoses and wire it up so the suspension is ready to go. Then onto the motor. Then body work and then will be time for a cruise!

Just finished mounting the first compressor. Got it all wired minus the pressure switch wire. Gotta wait till I mount the tank and move some airlines for that. Went pretty well. I'm happy with it and this way everything will be hidden under the bed mounted on the frame!

Just finished getting both compressors mounted. Got them all wired up except for the two wires that go to the pressure switch , which ill do once I mount the tank. And I mounted the air filters on the inside of the frame rail.

Looks good! Will your tank fit in between the rear frame rails? If it did, I'd think that'd look better and be easier to later access all the compressors, tank, and valves, if they were in the same place, rather than on the passenger side. I mean mine is on the passenger side, so there's nothing wrong with it being there. Lol.

This is straight from the viair website.

Q: Is it possible to mount VIAIR compressors sideways, or must it be mounted with the cylinder upright?
A: You can mount in any direction or position since VIAIR compressors are oil-less. The only position we do not recommend is an upside-down mount, since heat tends to travel upward, and does not dissipate well in the motor housing. A sideways mounting may reduce the life of the piston seal, since everything is governed by gravity and has a weight associated with it.

I wish I would...but how much work would that be...im jist lazy man. I dread taking all the lines off and the work....but I should get over it and do it...it would be way better huh...how long do u think that would take?

if i was you and i had the frame by itself just laying there i would yank all the lold wires out of there and take all the air ride stuff off and paint everything and even if it took you a little longer than what you want, you will feel better about it and you gonna be glad you did it while it was all apart beacuse i can almost guarantee that you gonna wish you did it but than its gonna be too late cause you gonna have the truck all put back together... been there done that.... i always rush and than wish i would have done it different later.

Well i got the airlines and switch solenoids off. Not much but some progress...i just need to take the fuel lines and tank off then the front end and brake lines then start prepping for paint. not much but heres a few pics.
