finally getting started

i finally got the nerve to tear down my dependable daily driver,going be a frame off,with 5.3 4l60e trans,so i will be posting pics (alot of pics)this is my first total restore

i was worried about losing intrest, but my buddy (long haired guy in the picture ) says that want happen as long he is helping with it.Gotta be patient!!

pressured washed frame getting it ready to take apart for sand blasting,gotta mock-up 5.3 and tranny first and make any and all mods to frame

wow alot of comments/questions from me....

what size are them fat tires they look awesome?

I see a ford LOl, I like that year/style ford, wouldn't mind having one

and lastly, wow it looked good before can't wait to see it done.

they are 295-50-15,put them on to roll on,i'm getting the eagle 225 ,20x10 and 20x8 ,and the ford is a loaner my friend has my 94 ext gmc ,and gotta have a mud dog (the bronco)

Ordered motor mount plates yesterday,can you send factory harness off to make it plug-in go,would it be cost efficent to buy a plug and go from tech-rods,which is cheaper?

got mounts today and got motor mocked-up,and got cab off (what a disaster),took doors off before lifting with motor puller

i patched it up early using duck tape (u know that tennessee chrome) and a old pair of drawers (fruit of looms) ,and a adult no drip depend extra large,only seeping now

thanks travis,i'm still in shock that i tore it down cause it was a daily driver,ls swap going to be sweet,i give 800 for motor,trans,i took it out of the truck my self so i could get everything needed

Man 800 is very nice! That LS motor will run like hell in that truck.. Good luck with it..

looks good! I just got a 6.0 that I am gonna do some work to and stick in my trans am. Then take the ls1 outa my TA and put to use in one of my old squares.
