Question about I-6 engine towers...

I know the I-6 engine towers mount in the back 2 holes on the chassis...hence the engine sitting further back. But do they mount the engine "lower" in the frame? (closer to the crossmember)

Thanks...

Shane, I am not 100 percent sure. What I can tell you is the stands are very similiar in height. I just can't remember how the 6 sits on them compared to the 8. Sorry, not much help. I have my 8 (or will have...it was previously) sitting on the 6 stands in the back position.

Shane, if there is any difference.....it cant be more than about 1/4". I tryed to get a measure 1 time, & as far as i can see the crank centerline is on about a 4 degree angle, so the height will change a little by moving the engine, but not very much in that 3 1/2" of setback. My longhorn is on 6 /250 stands,& i run the long waterpump,& havent had issues with centering the fan in the rad shroud.......
