1970 K10 (project name to be determined)

Been anonymously searching these boards for years. Never found a reason to join beings I did not have a C/K-10. Well those days are over. I recently bought a 1970 K10. Will be selling current truck, and working on this while it is my daily driver. Glad to be a part of these boards and I am amazed by the knowledge that is here. First plan is to curb the rust on the rockers and repair any other obvious rust. Hopefully I can get that knocked out before I get back home. Should have a couple months off of work to get the interior knocked out.
I am not the best with a majority of the mechanical/engine work but I am eager to learn and will attempt to do as much as I can without having to outsource. Thought I would post some pictures up now, but don’t expect an update for a while as I am currently in Afghanistan. Purchased the truck with the help of my father who has been a lifetime C10 guy. Got an amazing deal for a running street ready truck! Hope you enjoy and can point me in the right direction sometime throughout the build!

Thanks-Flick

Nice place to start but that steering wheel has gotta go. A 88-94? fits and looks good

Yeah it def does! Going to pick up a NOS one when I start on the interior. Here are some before and after work I had done while I am over here in the sand box.

Lower rockers were replacement not custom cut, and the speaker holes were custom cut pieces. Do not have a lot of the tools I need yet so any cheap body work I can take I will do. Both of these done for 200 total out the door, used his own supplies. I thought it was a pretty good deal beings that the rockers alone I think were like 30 bucks a pop.

Yeah my son was just born last month so I figure I have a couple years before he is ready for his own, or helping me with this one. I looked for a K5 for the longest time, but finally settled on a K10.
