Grey 3/4 ton Hubcap - WIW? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Have seen this style cap in both a white/black paint combo and in the stainless/black combo. Never ran across this style cap with what looks to be a factory(?) grey paint. No evidence of a re-paint, shows normal wear, light scale on the back side, no dents, some very minor dings. Also the center protrudes out some what, is not indented or pushed in like normally seen. Tried to show in the side on pic but hard to pick it out. Original application and a value would be appreciated.

Any body with info or knowledge on what appears to be a factory 3/4 ton paint CONVEX or "outie" center?

I think that would be a 69 cap. 1/2 or 3/4 ton...
I haven't noticed much value over the white ones unless they are really nice.

Thanks for the reply Eric. The pictured cap is a 12'' 3/4 ton and altho the paint shows some wear the metal body of the cap is in really good condition. No splits on the edges, very minor dings or nicks on the front. Being an "outie" on the center portion one could most likely convert it to an '' innie '' with a bit of time and effort. Idea as to value? Does need a repaint for nice but as is it's good for a daily driver truck.
