street motorcycle in shortbed

I am thinking about doing some track days. Does a street bike fit in the back of a short bed with the tailgate up?

How strong is the tailgate? Can I load the motorcycle on the tailgate? I have seen some pictures of smaller trucks where the tailgate collapsed while loading the big. It might have been just a fluke.

Tailgate is really strong. I've had 3 or 4 people roughly 150-200 lbs sit on it without issue. I wouldn't trust a bike back there putting pressure on the tailgate latches without being thoroughly strapped down. Its a 6 ft. Bed, so measure your bike wheel-to-wheel.
