Question blazer gas tank

I'm installing a poly gas tank in my 72 blazer the problem I have is that the part of the tank the filler connects to is directly below the floor cross member that the body mount bolts to. This is making it diffcult to attach the line from the filler neck. Can someone help me?

I just got through installing the same tank in my LWB 72 Cheyenne. After a lot of measuring and eyeballing I felt like I was going to have a clearance problem with the filler neck also. I decided to weld a 14" length of square tubing to the bottom of the frame where the tank lip/flange is located. Rather than these flanges against the bottom of the frame, they now rest against the bottom of the 2" tubing. This solved my clearance problem and will allow me the room to route the filler neck hose. I thought about going lower but 2" seems like the right height. Good luck.
