Help me identify this paint color

I am planning on painting my truck soon and I am trying to identify this color that was on my 72 c20 when it was repainted in 1977or8. I really like the way it looks and want to bring it back. A family member of the original owner said he thought it was a color from a 1967 or 8 corvette. I did't see anything that looks exactly like it online. I also checked 1977-8 corvette paint colors and the closest I found was international blue, but it still looks different to me. Any help would be appreciated.

Hard to say, I think it's a repaint. By the grille I guess it's a '72 truck and there were no blue offered in metallic

Re: Help me identify this paint color

I have an original sales brochure from 72 and that paint looks a lot like MARINER BLUE. for a lighter shade try Hawaiian Blue.

Re: Help me identify this paint color

That's not an original color - Chevy didn't offer any metallic blues or any blues that dark in 71-72 for trucks. If you want to get close to the color in the first post, look up 2001 Chevrolet Indigo Blue Metallic.

You're welcome. I own an 01 Indigo Blue truck (not the one pictured) and it's very light angle-dependent. Your pic #2 in post one looks like a dead ringer for it in certain light conditions.

Re: Help me identify this paint color

Looks a lot like #26 Fathom Blue from '70. It looks a bit darker, though. Thing about a repaint is that the paint shop may have had their own mix that is nothing like a factory color.

I just browsed through some pics of camaros with fathom blue paint. Some of them look pretty close depending on the lighting. That may be the color.

Indigo Blue Metallic is a nice color, I’m a bit biased though that’s what my ‘98 Silverado wears.
That targa Blue looks really nice too, reminds me of the Aqua Blue Metallic my Camaro wears.
