Vin Numer Help
The door frame plate says Chevy 00 then under it.C1446A104529 The plate on the kick panel is Trim Blank Paint 555.Then under them. Could not make out the letters.But the number is 115.Then next to it CA blank no number.Thanks for any help.

The 00 might really be DD,double duty? The Saddle color actually had 2 codes 525 and 555, might have been a tu tone. All sequence numbers will start with 10, so it is the 4,529 truck built at Ga assembly plant that year. The VIN has no powertrain info, this would be on the build sheet or protecto-plate,which usually are missing after the 1st or 2nd owner sells.

Actually the production number starts with 100,000, which still makes it the 4,529th off the production line.
The plate on the driver's kick panel is affectionately known as the GVW Plate. It will show the Maximum GVW Rating of the truck...5,000lbs for 1/2 ton and 7,500lbs for 3/4 ton 2wd trucks. |
