Advise for a 51 chevy truck

Hey guys. Im jumping on here from the 47-59 forum hoping somebody can clear something up for me.

Here's my issue. I'm putting 1986 305 Out of a Camaro into my 51 chevy 3100. I am wanting to run a serpentine setup on it and I know that for the most part the 4.3, 5.0 and the 5.7 are pretty much the same engine as far as the front of the block and heads go. Today I picked up the serpentine set up of of a 4.3 Chevy astro van. I only gave 20 bucks for it so I'm not really out anything. The drivers side bracket bolted right up but the Passenger side wasn't even close. Turned out the head on the passenger side only has 1 hole where the 4.3 has 3 holes. There are also a couple holes down toward the bottom of the block that were out of reach of the bracket. I know some of your trucks have stock serpentine set ups and I need to know if the passenger side head on those truck have 3 holes?? also do your brackets pick up the two lower holes as well??

Also the set up I got has the alternator on the passanger side and the ac on the driver's side. I'm guessing that's a difference between the "Pickup" 4.3 and the "Van" 4.3 due to minimal real estate under the hood.

Right now Im thinking Im screwed but maybe I just need to get a complete setup from an s10 pickup or a full size truck. Any advise, pictures would be helpful.

Advice is what you're looking for.
I've always wondered why people want to convert to serpentine systems.

I think I took a set of a early 90s motor and put it on my 454. Don't remember much, but I thought the Astro vans were the same, since they are a 4.3, but maybe they are different cause of lack of space....I know back in the day I put a 406 in my 90 GMC everything bolted up, but also used TBI heads.....

V6 & 305 bottom pulley will be different from that of a 350 (dampner is thicker on 305 & V6). Otherwise everything else should be interchangeable. I do not know difference between Astro and regular V6. I got one off a V6 Silverado and had no issues. Yes on passenger side one of the bolts is missing the hole in the earlier heads, but not a big deal. All the ones I have seen had the alternator on driver's side and AC on passenger. IT could be a year thing since the trucks had it that way in the mid 80s.
