Re: Zippys 50'

Thanks!
I have really been bad at taking pictures as we kept building, not to many along the way.
Here are a couple engine shots and the dash
Most everything is buttoned up.

Re: Zippys 50'

Thanks!
There have been a couple challenges... the biggest being the doors. I screwed up. When I disassembled the doors before paint, the channel the felt goes in and the felt/metal were rusted together on the drivers side. So, i cut the channel below were it was welded and pulled it out. I didn't fix it, forgot it and the doors and cab went to paint.
Well, it became time to get the door mechanisms done. Surprise! We ended up have to grind the old cut piece off - fab and weld in the new one- on a painted cab with the doors hung. No Fun.
But - its now done. Windows in - doors work, power locks work
I wont do that again.

Real nice engine bay. I like that you got the fender braces chromed. Nice touch!

Re: Zippys 50'

Thanks Giga -
They are repop Stainless Steel. The brakets that bolt to the fenders could / should be a thicker gauge but they do look great.

Re: Zippys 50'

Here are some interior pictures
We used Relecate Napa leather and German Square weave carpet. Jacobs idea was to use accent stitching in blue to match the LED lights and dakota digital backlights.

Re: Zippys 50'

Guys,
Thank you very much.
What an amazing journey this was for Jacob and I both.
What an impact it had on Jacob as well. He actually wrote his college entrance essay about this project.
Again - thanks for the kind words.
