Re: Nos part #

Dan, Wrong parts manual. That P/N application is for a medium duty truck 40-70 series.
The pickup catch assembly for a 67-68 is group 8.080, P/N 3888570.
That part was lised as discontinued in the December 81 Parts History Catalog 87A.

If you want your own, searchable 1946-72 Light Duty Truck parts manual it can be downloaded here.

Re: Nos part #

Nice one Tim. It usually pulls the 46-72 book up when I search. Thought it was strange as I have never seen the purple book before. Guess I should have read the cover of that book where it says "medium duty". My mistake

Gmpartswiki is great though for anyone searching part numbers, manuals, and books. A guy can spend a lot of time on there learning.

Re: Nos part #

Just so you know, this is a chevy only part. The GMC is a different part#. There are 2 different GMC assemblies (67/68 & 69-72) and three Chevy assemblies (67/68,69/70,& 71/72)
