Who is running 16" Wheels? Pics?

Anyone out there running 16" wheels on a 67-72 lowered truck? I see lots of pics of 15's then jump up to around 20's, but not many 16's. Would love to see some pictures of trucks with 16" wheels. I am going to buy a new set of rallye wheels and do a 4/6 drop with 6 lug disc conversion. I like the look of smaller (around 15") wheels but was thinking 16" might be better to provide a bit more caliper clearance and such.

Would be helpful to see some pics of 16" wheels with drop kits around 4/6. Also, tire size, wheel width, and backspacing would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Who is running 16" Wheels? Pics?

I have 17's on my truck. The reality is that tire selection in 16's is declining. Even with 17's. 18's is probably the sweet spot long term for maximum tire availablitiy. But here is mine:

4.5"/7" drop. ECE disc conversion spindles in front with 2" springs and DJM flip on rear leaf springs (HD leaf pack with overload removed and CalTrac bars. Would have left overload but it interfered with CalTracs.)

235 55 17 on 17x8 4.5" bs and 275 55 on 17x9 with 5" bs. I am VERY happy with everything setup this way.

Not too many people with 16's on 1/2 ton 2wd trucks. Tire options are limited. Stay with 15's if you like the look. Caliper clearance won't be an issue if running stock brakes. If you start going with aftermarket brakes, most require at least a 17" wheel, if not 18".

Nice looking truck Mike C. I appreciate your concern about tire availability, but my local shop has tons of 16” tire options. Perhaps that will change in the future, so I realize that is a risk. I wish there were a way to try a bunch of options before you buy. Maybe a good business to start

Re: Who is running 16" Wheels? Pics?

For myself, the 17's were cheaper than the 16's and the availability of the 275 55 17 was important to my setup as well.

I have 16.5" on my Jimmy so I am WELL aware of limited tire choices with some rim sizes.

Whatever you decide, just look at the big picture for what works for you. I think there is a reason that not many people are running 16's for you to look at pics of.
