Bucket seat cab brace?

I have a cab that's still on the chassis (stored at a friends house), it had buckets originally, but will end up with a bench. Does the seat brace under the cab unbolt, or is it welded in?

Re: Bucket seat cab brace?

It has 3 Phillips screws that hold it in place

Re: Bucket seat cab brace?

The bucket seat brace is welded to the floor. I'm in the process of putting one into a truck that did not have buckets originally.

He’s thinking of the cab brace for the back of the middle seat on buddy buckets in 67/68 trucks.

Here is what Harold (71 super) said in this Thread:

Steve, if you look at pics dan posted the long bracket is spot welded in a couple of spots just to the rear of the trans tunnel and between the cab structure supports in the middle of the cab. They will be in line with the standard seat mounting plates that are just outside the center supports. Mine looks rough I. Photo, but it is all undercoating, I did not scrape it off, but it did cut/ trim the support away from the old floor section. You will have a little clean up but nothing like it was.
Here is another thread with some info:

Re: Bucket seat cab brace?

Sorry I must have read it fast. The mounts on the floor are welded but are in the same location as a bench seat for buddy buckets which is what I thought I read. My mistake

No probs, I learned something from your posts too. After all my years on this board I still manage to learn stuff nearly every day. Now if I could only retain it haha!!!
