Brake peddle id

I took of my old brake peddle and was going to order a new one but it does not look like the ones in the catalogs. Is this from a different year?

Re: Brake peddle id

I wonder if the po put the wrong pad on the peddle or if the peddle is wrong also. Are the pads interchangeable? Are the mettle peddles the same shape. It seems like it should go on a slightly tapered peddle. Can somebody post a photo of a stock break pedal without the rubber pad.

The pads are interchangeable. When you put the new one on, you can use some of that spray on contact adhesive to really make it stay put!

Great thanks.

Does anyone know where to get a good quality one?

Re: Brake peddle id

Forty years ago I bought new clutch and brake pedal pads from the Chevy Dealer and they looked like that. That is what was sold as a "Service Part". It functioned fine but did not look the same as the original.
