Re: Need pics 60-66 (slammed not bagged)

Yep, great show! and the truck had coil springs in the back, when i was 14 the trailing arms were too expensive, so I got $50 leaf springs welded up some mounts, put the axle on top of the leafs, then a large rubber bump stop on the frame to help with bottoming out, only about 2" of clearance, but it rides great back there. On a truck that had leaf springs if you put the axle on top, it lowers the back about 6", you can also reverse one of the center leaf springs in the pack to lower it about 2-3"

Like OC the bag and Schrader valves in rear are your budget frindly start. Load, no load adjustable ride is well worth $60 a bag for Firestone 2600/2500s
my '62 rear bag Schrader valves and torsion bar before Porterbuilt!

Re: Need pics 60-66 (slammed not bagged)

I have a 4.5 in drop up front be careful if you go any lower. My lower control arms scrape if I go over a speed bump to fast. But I guess that is why they are called speed bumps.

Re: Need pics 60-66 (slammed not bagged)

My 66, 2 1/2 drop spindles and 2 inch drop springs in front, 4 inch drop springs in rear. I cut half the rubber stop in back to give about another inch of travel. Don't really care for bags in my humble opinion.
