Static Drop Questions

So I am going to be starting the tear down and build up of my 1968 C-10 Step Side. I am planning on keeping it simple with a modern touch. I plan on converting to power disc breaks and lowering the truck and all of that good stuff as well as swapping out the inline 6 and the manual trans for a 327 and a powerglide. But before I start the build I want to compare static drop sizes for the front and rear. I am considering two options right now, a 2.5 up front and 4 in the back or 3.5 in the front and 4 in the rear. But I would like get some of your opinions as well as some pictures so I can see the different drop set ups

Re: Static Drop Questions

front: McGaughey's 2.5" drop spindles, Summit 73-87 3" drop springs w/ a 1/2 coil cut, drop sway bar mounts, Tokico drop shocks, stock "a" arms.

rear: 2.5" custom aluminum drop blocks, 6" ECE drop springs, ECE Super tracbar, Tokico shock.

rides great, front end lines up, no rubbing even lock to lock. hope this helps in your drop....

Re: Static Drop Questions

meyer... as Al posted above, go to the ECE website and move your cursor over the tech articles tab across the top of the page. After a sec. or two a drop menu will appear, and then click on the stance photos link. When this page opens go to the bottom and click on page 2. This will take you to a 67-72 with all the various kits available from ECE and just about every other vendor offering a static drop.

I hope this helps and we can't wait to see some pics of your project.
