Grille question. . .

I would like to use a 1977-1980 Grille on my '74 build. I am going for a more sanitary look without the Bow Tie and 350 badges.

LMC states:

"1977-80 Grilles may be used as a replacement for the 1973-76 Grille. This will require carefully cutting out a small section of the inner grille to allow access to the hood release."

Has anyone done this and have any pictures of their install? Also, are the mounting locations and counts the same? LMC doesn't really elaborate other than the trimming comment above.

Re: Grille question. . .

I would say use the 77 up latch and center bracket and you shouldn't have to cut anything

Re: Grille question. . .

You'll want to use the later center support any way to be able to screw the grill to something. The '74 grill is much deeper than the '77 grill. I have a '77 front clip on my '74 Blazer that I would like to convert back to the '74 grill. Send me a PM if you want to work out a trade. I should be able to look at the Blazer on Saturday and grab some parts if I need to.
