Air ride question

Is there a noticeable ride improvement with air? Does the air ride smooth it out quite a bit compared to shocks?

It depends on what set-up your comparing it to...

A HD high rate (stiff) coil & high pressure gas shock set-up compared to a light duty (soft) coil & low pressure shock would yield different ride quality but are the same type of suspension. So when you compare air ride's 'improvement', there could be no change/barely noticed (lt duty/low pressure shock) or significant difference (HD/high pressure shock).

Regardless of spring type (leaf, coil, or bag), you need the correct shock to control the springs oscillation.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: Air ride question

Air bags with a good quality shock with rebound adjustment rides better then springs...
