There was a body style change in 03 and the cluster was changed as well but you should be good going from an 01 to an 02. I have an 02 Denali cluster in my 01, plug and play including the trans temp guage.

Thanks , Will I need to go through the process of retraining the computer to recognize the new ignition switch ? I changed the steering column on a '99 and had to do a long process to get it to start vehicle?

Not sure about that one, I would use the column from the donor cab and swap the ignition cylinder so you don't have two different keys for your truck. The 1999 model was kind of an odd ball and I know the cluster for a 1999 will not work in a 2000-2002 model.
I hope that helps.

Well after getting the cabs swapped over. I started checking for connections for different control switches. I discovered the wiring harness in a 2 wheel drive isn't the same as 4 wheel drive harness.

your vss or vehicle security system has taken over. i dont know what year they started using a bcm body control module, that controls the vss. it was sometime in the 02 or 03 year models. you will need to find those things out first. then someone with hptuners can reset or delete your vss functions in the pcm. there are guys who use resistors to fake out the computer and so on... and there is a vss reset by turning on the key but not starting it and leaving it for ten minutes, then shut it off. then do that again like 3 or 4 more times. but i would just have it turned off in the pcm so you dont have to deal with it again as other issues might pull it up again since you are doing wiring and cab swap. my .02
