68K20 steering box seal kit?

1968 K20 manual steering

where can I get a manual steering seal kit?

Looking to reseal my manual steering box. need a gasket set

anybody know who sells gasket sets?

refilled my 68K20's steering box with STP and moly. Noticed this morning it was leaking from the adjustment cover.

I;m pulling it off to clean it up. I figure to put new gaskets on it while its out.

dont need rebuilt just resealed.

Re: 68K20 steering box seal kit?

It took me forever to find a manual 4x4 box and when I did it was actually cheaper to buy new power steering everything than a new manual box. Can't really help but try ebay? That's where I found the box for like 200 or 225 bucks. It was NOS though...

Maybe test your patience and make one from a sheet of gasket material

make one what?......

I need a seal kit. It involves more than a simple paper gasket. there is a steering shaft that goes into the box and the pitman arm shaft that exits the box. both, presumably, have seals, neither of which is made of paper. unless I am mistaken.

Did I pass the patience test? I dont usually, but I'm trying.

Your first post mentioned gasket sets,... twice. I couldn't help you on the seal part, so I figured I would try to help you with the gasket part, but I guess I was no help at all. Good luck with the reseal

Re: 68K20 steering box seal kit?

Dont know which to call it so I mentioned bothe seal kits and gasket kits. figured they were the same thing sortof like an engine gasket set has seals , Too further clairify, a'll state again gasket or seal kit, to reseal the box.

somebody point me in the right direction and I think I can handle it from there.

thanks for your help.
