Overall, the body is pretty solid ... it does have some rust issues...but according to Bill, the floors/rockers are solid !!

Well, first all the plans are to get the ENTIRE FAMILY involved in this one.

Looks like the first thing is to buy a couple of jugs of CLR and give it a nice bath, inside and out.

Immediate plans are to round up a full set of seats, and get it running with a 2000 4.3 vortec/700R4 I have laying around. This will make it driveable, and of course easy to move around while I work on the body.

Future major plans will include a '63 C-20 frame swap (which I have already), a more suitable ENGINE and possibly a double-hump dash conversion ...

Thanks ... For now, a 4.3 Vortec out of a 2000 S-10. I have it sitting in my Zuk framerails, but it'll power this for now. I just dont wanna push it while I work on it ....

When I got home from work yesterday, I started by working on hatch hinges.

They are a little stiff, so a good soaking is in order.....

Re: My '62 GMC Suburban is on it way !!

This rear area is in good shape ... a little flaky paint, and surface rust ...
-

-

-
First soak down with WD ... I have WD in gallon form at the shop I will use later...
-

-
Now, needed to figure out why gate would open. Bill thought it was a rod issue...

-
But after removing seat, and opening inspection cover...
-

-
Quickly realized, it was just 'locked' ....
-

-
Hard to tell in pic, but in 'lock', the rod pass thru plate, rather than pushin on it...
-

-

-
Wow, what a nice seat frame ...
