Converting grill/headlights from chevy to GMC

I have 68 chevy burb and I would like to change the grill and headlight to GMC> I have a 68 GMC pickup and I want the burb to match. Is this a simple conversion? Seems like the headlight mounts would have to be modified. Any ideas?

Re: Converting grill/headlights from chevy to GMC

outside of the fenders and hood you will most likely need to swap everything else.

I'd dig up the pages for the 68 GMC nose and the 68 Chevy nose on LMC and start comparing parts numbers to see what I could use and what went in the swap meet box.

I went the other way on what is now my 71 GMC after my aunt wrecked it when she owned it and I couldn't find a 71 GMC nose anywhere around here.
I put the chrome tube grill in when I repaired the front end for her and then a few years later after she had given me the truck with a blown up engine in it I found the GMC grill emblem from a later truck laying beside the road in a broken grill in front of my house and a bit of cutting, fitting and satin black paint later had a one off grill.
