Uh I dont think that is a V6 engine.... the valve covers and the exhaust manifold look very much like a 409 CI BBC....

It's a GMC V6; spark plugs are on top by the intake manifold.

On the Chevys there is a sticker/decal on the inside of the glove box door called the "SPID", not all GMC's had one. There should be a "Jacking Instructions" decal behind the passengers side seat. Beautiful truck! I love 6 cylinders , would of been cool if it was a 292 inline!
The only thing that would of topped it off is if it were a 72 , I have 50k original on mine and it looks like new however that truck you have there is fantastic. I would keep it there a couple more decades then check the value on it =p |
