Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

Nice looking truck. I am leaning towards swapping mine to a stepside. I have a photo shop pic of it with an older bed which is what I would like to do.

That's pretty cool. Most are the opposite. 67-72 use an 88-98 Stepside bed. At least in my area.

I'm really getting a itch for a RCSB to slam from this generation.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

I just emailed a guy from Co. with a real nice old style bed for sale. It will depend on shipping cost to see if this happens. Older sheet metal is just not available around here. I have been working at making my truck look older than it is without going to a patina look. I do body work for a living and my truck is my calling card. So far the baby blue color with the old style emblems have had a few people wonder how old it is.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

Nice looking truck but I am a little biased towards the RCSB trucks. I bought mine because I was looking for a cheap truck and had no idea how nice these trucks actually run and drive. I have had mine almost 4 years and like it more the longer I own it.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

Hauling 16' boards home from the lumber yard my cousin works at a few weeks ago.

Wound up having to stop at my other cousin's construction yard on the way to get some flagstones on the front of the trailer to balance it right. Eh, got the boards home at least.

My trucks...

1999 Suburban LT 4x4 with 2007 wheels.
1993 K2500 Cheyenne (non work-truck), newer silverado wheels
And my most recent -- 86 C10 Silverado that my Grandfather bought new... all original -- the good and the bad! only 63k miles on it...

Nice lineup. I hope to be taking over my late grandfather's '75 GMC soon, which he bought in '76. It's nice to have one with family history like that.

Nice and clean! If you get adventurous, it's not too hard to remove the body side moldings... I did it to my 99 (a couple posts up) and love the more modern look. But, i also have 2-tone. Really curious how it would look on that all white burb!

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

thanks, I will remove moldings. I agree they look cleaner. I added a strip of vinyl on discolored chrome piece on side moldings. Looks really clean with the black wheel fender trim I added.
