Parking brake location
Hey I've got a 72 chevy w/ no parking brake assembly or cables. Got the assembly but can't figure out where it's supposed to be. Does anyone have a photo with the location of the hole location, and why the assembly looks like installed. Thanks for the help I looked in the shop manual and it wasn't very clear. And looking behind and under the dash I'm don't see where it would bolt up.

Re: Parking brake location
High Andrew, the assembly should have two studs at one end, those go through the fire wall, the other end slips on top of the lower dash and is held in place with a large threaded screw. I'll see if I have any pictures.

Re: Parking brake location
Awesome build thread lee. So far you have the best pic of the parking brake assembly. I knew it would be on the far left like every other one but must be missing some obvious holes.

Re: Parking brake location
Well that's what I figured, for some reason on my truck I only have the top hole and no bottom hole for the 2nd bolt. At best it looks like there is a smaller bolt coming from the fuse panel, but it's not lined up with the top hole. Ill have to dig around how am I missing this bolt ugh.
