posting pictures

Can someone please tell me how to post pictures. When I try it makes me sign in again then when you try to upload pictures it makes sign in again. You go around in a circle and can mot post a picture.

In the "Manage Attachments" dialog box/window after upload, it shows the image size uploaded. That number is always far smaller than the image I uploaded so this site does have build-in image resizing. Why it goes wonky at certain sizes of inbound files is a mystery...one that should have a solution other than manually resizing images before upload. I know the Admin's have better things to be doing but this issue pops up a lot...enough to warrant a look see on their part.
