'70-'72 NP205s To Carlisle Truck Show

... and '69 Blazer. I have these extra NP205s taken from these year trucks. Been stored inside for years, don't see that I'll be needing them. All spin and shift freely. I have no adapters, just the case for $250 each. These are obviously heavy to ship. I'm figuring local sale, but willing to ship. Willing to meet anyone part way if traveling any distance.

I also have an assortment of driveshafts for sale in another thread. I kind of gave up on selling all this stuff due to people not considering what shipping can cost. It won't be cheap but my prices are adjusted. Local pickup is a real bargain.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=792289

Since that driveshaft thread I can add a '70 K/20 driveshaft set and axles. The rear is parts/incomplete but front end is complete drum to drum, no lock outs.

Yes. The transmission differences are in the adapter at front end.

Jimer, you recognize it? Is that how yours looks? That one I got from you with the 4spd years ago I have gone over and painted up ready to go.

Re: '70-'72 NP205s

That's what I'm talking about.

I have sold one locally to a guy with a rock buggy to use parts for a doubler set-up he is doing. Not sure what he had going on, but he needed the transfer case to be the non-synchro type and we confirmed all these are. Not sure what that is all about, these go in and out 2H to 4H in motion all day long. But for some reason the later ones were not good for his uses. Just saying, other than a factory replacement, these have other uses. I guess some who go to Pirate 4x4, or on that level of off road build, might know about this set-up the guy was building. The other case was a NP203, which is typical.

I scraped the one in the lower right down to the OEM red oxide color. Looks better than the rest now. That one came from a running operating rot bucket Blazer I parted.

Re: '70-'72 NP205s

Going to the scrapyard next week.

JUST KIDDING!!!! I would never do that. Been sitting on these a long time, I'll keep sitting till they get harder to find and more valuable.

I know a feller with a junkyard with 8,000 cars... old stuff. He gets the mobile car crusher guys offering their services, and Greg tells them, "No thanks. Go crush everybody else's stuff so I can be the only guy selling old parts".

Re: '70-'72 NP205s

Hey thanks L'il Red, that's a nice gesture. But I was just pulling his leg. We are friends and he's definitely a Steelers fan... like me. Got family in Pittsburg territory. My grandpa and then aunt & uncle ran a bar on the banks of the Youghiogheny. So I grew up with Pirates & Steeler stuff displayed... and Duquesne Beer advertising! (then came the Penguins)

Re: '70-'72 NP205s

For all Football Fans and those partial to the Steelers

Ran down the bike path past training field on south side. Got caught up in a thunderstorm. Took shelter under the entrance canopy.
A black gentlemen invited my wife and I in, we politely declined. After a few lightning strikes we jumped through the door when he opened it again.

Can you believe it he said, Old Man Rooney drives a Buick!!!
He also greets me and asks me hows the wife and kids...every day.

On football players he offered the following.

You have the prima donna's, you have the really down to earth great guys that can play football, and then you have the street thugs that play football really well.

In all the controversy, I remember his words of wisdom. I also figured Old Man Rooney, would fire anyone who did not show respect during the National Anthem. That's the way he was.

My two cents and some wise words which seem to fit pro sports.
Have a Merry Christmas You'all

Re: '70-'72 NP205s

I wish you were near me I’d probably buy a few. Wanting to bore one out to swap a 29 spline input for my cummins swap. And you’re right they’re getting harder to find.

It took a lot to decide to let these go. But how many spares will I need? I have others.

BTW, I was joking about the scrap yard. I'll wait till after the first of the year

Are there no cool people nearby, only far away? Thought so! Just kidding. Even you goofy nerds around here like these
