1969 Canadian C10

OK, so here's where I started, after owning her since 1977 or 78. Used it for daily driver, running kids around etc. Then she sat in my Dad's shop for 10 years or so - until Dad sold the property, so I had to bring it home. A lot of stuff piled up/on/around it so to get started that all had to go.

Re: 1969 Canadian C10

For me, the best part of my project is I am using the original engine and trans ordered for this truck. Just trying to make it a little better than GM did..
Got em painted up, trans back on...

Re: 1969 Canadian C10

A little further along, here's the March kit, engine is mounted in frame.
I built my own power steering lines, always had trouble with the GM ones leaking... Also NOS kit, carb, and Flamethrower Distributor.
Used braided fuel line, and put a tank between the frame in the back, pics of that coming.

Rebuilt the original Alternator, just put some clear on it. The Gearbox is NAPA replacement.

I notice you had the old skool Mickey Thompson Valve Covers. Those are worth so much money, keep them or sell them to a vintage collector.. I have a pair for SB Chevys

If you clean them up, just clean the outside of them. The inside oil residue and oiling stain is something the collectors look for. I dont know why they just do. Since Mickey Thompson died all of his Orig parts have been highly valued.. Keep them buddy
