Bagging rear - 1970 c10 with trailing arms (lowering block question)

Quick question for those who've bagged the rear of a 70 c10 with trailing arms. I have airlift dominator 2600 lb bags which don't exactly bolt into the stock spring location so I've built a set of 2" cups to accommodate the fittings in the bag. The problem is I am going to need lowering blocks... right now I am not notching the truck but will eventually step notch it. With the step notch, I feel like I'm going to need huge drop blocks to allow the truck to come close to laying. Is anyone else runninginto this? I'm thinking of moving the bags forward on the arms and using s new upper mounting bracket. Thoughts? Thanks guys!!
