So it doesn't worry you when the body lines get all twisted out of shape? I'd wig out if I flex a frame that far, but I don't know a lot about 4 wheelin'. You've probably already modified to compensate for it.

I'll look for the pics, but this florida boy, took his 67 up to the ski slopes. The chains fit, sort of. then I spun it at 15 mph taking a hair pin up the mountain. The rest of the trip was uneventful and all had fun!

72 C20 with a 350. Previous owner swapped the 4 speed for a 700R4 auto. I'm retired and volunteer at state and national parks. I spend summers in Oregon. Found this truck for $800 and offered $600. Paid for it with $$ made from recycling bottles and cans. Oregon pays .05 per can/bottle. Now doing restification with recycled parts purchased with recycling $$.

These frames are made to take a lot of flexing I will look up and article I have and paste a link to it about the flexability of these 4x4 frames. It is some way cool stuff.

ya, that can take a lot of abuse, thats why many call the 67-72 4x4 chevys the best 4x4 ever made!

heres a pic of my 72 on the farm. daily driver, only 2wd, and we get 10-14 feet of snow on average here. been driving her in these conditions for almost a year, and its been damn scary at times. even with winter tires i cant completely stop at a stop sign. and no, it doesnt get to go in the garage. my dads damn boxter gets the garage 2 itself. damn wimpy european cars!!!!

I don't know about the 4x4 frame, but the 72 C20 I have has on more than one occasion had over 6 tons of rock in the bed, and also towed an 8 ton piece of equiptment. Still holding strong too.
