grinding sound when turning right
Hey guys, I recently did a rotor and brake change and during the process I noticed lots of play in the idler arm. So I replaced it.
After doing that I greased everything and took it for a spin. Drives good, but when I turn the steering wheel all the way to the right I hear (and feel) a small grinding noise. I can back up with the wheels turned all the way right and left goes smooth without a sound. I checked and made sure the wheel wasn't hitting anything, and its not, there is no rubbing. Also tacked up the plastic little shield that is over the shock. I jacked the truck up and spun the wheel, and no sounds. I am at a loss but I am pretty sure it is one of the steering parts.

Re: grinding sound when turning right
I would take a closer look at the distance between the lower control arm and rotor, Check the lower ball joint as well. Jacking up the front changes the suspension geometry/clearance.
