Prong on back on instrument panel?

Hello. I am rewiring my gauges (1972 Chevy C20) and was wondering if anyone knew what connects to this prong on the back on the instrument panel?

Thank you!

Re: Prong on back on instrument panel?

I may have figured it out. Is it the short black wire (with push-in tip) that comes from the steering column?

Yes, that is a fiber optic cable, transmits the light out of the back of that 194 bulb to the shifter pointer.
