Really liking your rims and tires. Also the overall truck. I rarely see
any of these painted that I like, BUT this one is sweet.

Ya know I've got to call it like I see it. And if it makes you feel any better mine is still sitting because of lack of funding. I think you did a great job on that thing. That doesn't mean that you can leave the forum now that you're done with your build. With that said; what's the next project you have in mind.

Re: 1950 gmc in alabama

Oh no; you said the 'F' word.

I helped one of my buddies with building up his '05 GT. He actually just got it back today. The engine blew up when he was racing me in my '88 1/2 ton. I won because I was able to drive away, and that was almost 2 years ago.

Any pictures of it? Make sure that you make a build thread in alternative tinkering

The truck looks great and those are some very cool shots with the old school gas pump.

So got some news about the truck. It has found a new home. I put it up for sale and had a taker today. On to new projects now. I felt kinda bad letter her go but you gotta do what you gotta do. It was a fun build though.

Good build man. I just bought a 50 chevy. I live in Birmingham. Any advice on anything before i get started? Anything you would have done different? I want to put an s10 frame under mine aswell but i think i wanna drop in a 350 instead. Oh and where did you snap the gas pump pics. loved the truck man!

Re: 1950 gmc in alabama

dont pay to much for an s10 frame> I did because i wanted a running s10. If i were to do again i would just get a frame and put a carbed 350 on it. The pics were taken in helena, close to the post office

Re: 1950 gmc in alabama

I have a 3/4, 47 chevy, having a hell of a time trying to find a S10, reg cab, LB for a reasonable price. I was thinking, would the extended cab work on the 3/4 ton. Is the S10 frame the same only longer?

Re: 1950 gmc in alabama

Thanks, I will try and find one. I plan on using the 4.3L it comes with. This is my first build, I am a carpenter by trade. I have the wood skills just need to convert over to metal. I will post pictures of my project, hopefully it won"t be a total disaster.

Some nice vehicles you have there, procrastination doesn't seem to be in your vocabulary with all the projects you have taken on, good luck.
